Susan Hayden Science Instructor
Susan Hayden joined the Gibault teaching staff as the permanent substitute for 2020 – 2021 school year. Susie brings years of teaching experience to the position, having taught at Cathedral Grade School in Belleville, Immaculate Conception School in Columbia, and St. James School in Millstadt. She also worked as a Youth Development Educator for University of Illinois Extension, managing the 4-H program in Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair Counties.
Susie is a 1973 graduate of Gibault Catholic High School. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Math & Science from Notre Dame College in St. Louis, MO and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Maryville University, St. Louis, MO.
Susie has two adult sons and one adult daughter, all of whom attended Gibault. She loves to cook (but doesn’t care for doing dishes.) Susie is a self-described baseball fanatic and has a goal of attending at least one game in every stadium in the country with her family.
