Julie Knittig English & Public Speaking Instuctor

Julie (Lansing) Knittig is an English, Public Speaking, and Psychology instructor at Gibault Catholic High School. Julie is a 2010 graduate of Gibault. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary English Education and a minor in Speech Communications from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  After college, Julie taught two years at St. Vincent Junior/Senior High in Perryville, MO, before coming back home to Gibault in 2016. She currently teaches all freshmen English courses, one section of Junior Composition, two sections of Public Speaking, and one section of Psychology. Julie is also our Student Council Co-Sponsor and Junior Class Sponsor, helping to organize the Prom Committee.

When she’s not teaching, Julie loves to read, craft, travel, try new restaurants, and spend time with family and friends. She is also a travel agent specializing in Disney for a local agency, Magic Expeditions, which is perfect for a Disney fan like Julie.
