David Gregson (‘84) is currently in year one of his role as President at GCHS. He knows many aspects of Gibault as he not only is an alum bust also a former administrator (Dean of Students), teacher (business and religion), drama director, coach (softball, bowling), club moderator (STUCO), and parent. David earned his BS in Business Education from the University in Edwardsville, Master’s in Pastoral Studies from Aquanis Institute of Theology in St. Lous, and Master’s in Educational Leadership from McKendree University in Lebanon, IL. David began his teaching career at Providence-St. Mel in Chicago (3 years) then moved back to Columbia to work at Gibault (25 years). He served as Principal at St. John Neumann School in Maryville, IL (3 years) and then as Principal at his parish school, Immaculate Conception School in Columbia, IL (4 years). 

David enjoys going hiking with his wife Lois and hanging and hanging out with his two sons Austin (‘14), JD (‘17), and Daughter-in-law Elizabeth (Austin).
