Oktoberfest:  THANK YOU to everyone that attended the Oktoberfest, helped set-up/clean-up and assisted in anyway possible.  It was a huge success and could not have been done without YOU!

Volleyball: Senior Night and Alumni Night: Tonight is Senior Night and Alumni Night.  JV starts at 5pm.  come out to support our volleyball team!

Fall Play: Support our theater students by coming to a performance of 12 Angry Jurors this week.  Performances are at 7pm this Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a matinee at 2pm on Sunday.  Hope to see you there!

College Updates: Tomorrow, staff Sergeant James Wilcox from the Army will be in the lunchroom to visit with students interested in a future in the military

This Sunday, SLU is hosting a National College Fair.  Students from every grade level can meet with over 200 college recruiters from across the country. If you cannot make the college fair at SLU, on Monday evening, SIUE is hosting a Regional College Fair where many of the same colleges will be present to talk with students.

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion: If you have a desire to be trained as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, come to one of two training sessions this Wednesday, October 22.  Please sign up with Mrs. Miskell.

Thanksgiving Day Volunteer Opportunity: The Waterloo VFW has a volunteer opportunity on Thanksgiving Day.  They are looking for help from 9am – 12pm.  Tasks would include getting delivery orders prepped for transport and prepackaging dinners.  If interested students and families may sign up in the front office.

Tennis Results: All four entrants representing Gibault in the Sectional tournament at Carbondale High School won their first-round match on Friday, October 17.  In Singles, Brie Miller won a hard-fought match against her opponent from Carbondale in two sets 7-5: 6-4, while Myra Coats defeated her opponent from Carmi, 6-1:6-0

In Doubles, Sophie Winkeler and Kaila Jerkatis split sets with a team from Benton, 6-3:1-6, but held on to win the deciding third set in suspenseful fashion, 7-5.

Although the girls lost in their second-round matches, they all finished the 2025 season with a winning record.  Congratulations, girls, on a great year!
