Yearbooks have arrived! If you ordered a yearbook please stop in the office to pick it up.
Fall Festival sign up sheets are posted outside of Mrs. Knittig’s room.
Supervised Study begins today for ALL students. Anyone who has 2 D’s or an F should have received an email on Friday notifying them to report to supervised study beginning today. There is no supervised study during lunch mods. Any students assigned to supervised study will receive notification from Mrs. Kueker when they are eligible to move out. Getting assignments turned in on time is a great way to avoid Supervised Study!
Next week is SPIRIT WEEK! See Schoology or the Gibault SAB Instagram for a schedule of themes and activities. Monday’s theme is Holidays.
A few things to note:
We have a dress down day dress code. Students should still wear appropriate length bottoms, closed shoes, etc. You can find the dress code on our website. Students are expected to follow the themes to the best of their ability. Each day, homeroom teachers can nominate their best-dressed students to come up to the front office. Office staff will pick the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd best dressed of the day, and these winners will earn points for their House. So bring your A game!
On Monday is a class vs. class volleyball tournament during House. Students: start deciding who will play on your 6 person team. Each team MUST have a combination of 3 girls and 3 boys.
Tennis Results:
The Tennis Hawks fought hard but lost to the Alton Redbirds yesterday, 7-2. Congratulations to the following:
In Singles 1, Brie Miller won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1
In Doubles 1, Brie Miller and Myra Coats won, 8-2
Myra Coats (S2), Sophie Winkeler (S3), and Anastasia Melvin(S4) played some close, suspenseful games and battled through long back-and-forth rallies, but lost in the end. However, they deserve credit for their endurance, relentless effort, and competitive spirit.
The Hawks play their only “HOME” match of the season at SWIC against Bunker Hill on Monday, Sept. 29 at 4pm. Please come and support them.
