MARKETING
This course introduces marketing through classroom instruction and hands-on projects. Marketing terminology, career paths, and areas of specialization within the field will be explored. Topics include: Intro to Marketing Terms, Graphic Design Principles, Basic Economics, Market Planning, Market Strategy, Product Life Cycle, Marketing Case Studies, Misuse of Marketing, Sports Marketing, and Branding. Other units may be added based on student interest. Upon completion of this course, students will have a working knowledge of the field of marketing and the various career paths associated with it. Students will learn the importance of marketing in modern society for both businesses and consumers. Students will be able to create and implement a successful marketing plan.
Prerequisite: Junior/Senior standing
