SPRINGFEST:
SAB is hosting Spring Fest during the afternoon on April 24th. Sign up to play slip-n-slide kickball on the sheet posted by the ping pong table.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES BOARD:
Applications for SAB are open. Any student interested in joining SAB to help plan the Homecoming dance, the Parking Spot Painting party, Reindeer Games, and other school activities should apply. Applications are available in the front office and due to Mrs. Kovarik by Friday, April 24th.
PROM:
Mrs. Knittig will begin selling prom tickets next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Students must have all service hours completed before purchasing a ticket. Tickets are $50 and charged through Facts. See Mrs. Knittig with questions.
Anybody needing a suit or tuxedo rental for prom should see Mrs. Knittig for a flyer from Ella K’s bridal. A portion of money from in-store rentals will be donated back to Gibault! Consider supporting a local Waterloo small business this prom season!
POST PROM:
Post prom permission slips will be emailed home to parents, but if you need a form printed, they are in the front office. You must have a permission slip signed by a parent to attend. Everyone is allowed to attend Post Prom, whether you go to Prom or not.
ART:
Great news from the Art Department – Both of our Drawing 2 students won awards in the annual VFW art contest.
Leah Schlemmer – 2nd place in 2-D Art
Sienna Spencer – 1st place in 3-D Art, which means she goes to State
GIRLS SOCCER:
Congratulations to Aubry Thomas as she has become the al time leader in assists at Gibault with 45 and counting.
SOFTBALL:
The Lady Hawks Softball team had a well fought game against Sparta last night. Congratulations to Lauren Lanham on her home run in the 7th. They play at Red Bud tomorrow night.
BASEBALL:
The Varsity Baseball Team beat Sparta last night 9-4. Carson Timmons went the distance on the mound, allowing 1 earned run and 6 hits, while striking out 6. Dylan Schaefer led the offense with 3 hits and 3 RBI. Kole Schilling had 2 hits, and Gus Schmidt scored 3 runs. Our next game is tomorrow at Red Bud.
JV Baseball beat New Athens 16-1. Joey Alvarez had a triple and drove in 2 runs. Sam Bollone had 2 hits including a triple. Dylan Kunkelmann pitched the complete game, allowing only 1 hit in 4 innings.
