Michelle Miskell began teaching Theology at Gibault Catholic High School in 2020. She graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Business Administration. When Michelle’s husband, David, entered the Deacon Formation Program for the Diocese of Belleville, Michelle fully participated in the academic portion of program, receiving certification through Saint Meinrad School of Theology.

Michelle is passionate about our beautiful Catholic faith and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ through Catholic Education. She is Gibault’s Faith Formation Coordinator and teaches Theology classes. She facilitates our new Gibault House system and mentors our Campus Ministry Club, honored to walk with our students as they grow in their gifts.

The Miskells are grateful to God for their 6 children, 5 of whom graduated from Gibault Catholic High School. Aubrie (2004), Branden (2006), Colton (2013), Emma (2019), and Faith (2022).

Michelle and Dave have been active parishioners at Saints Peter and Paul in Waterloo for 25 years! In June 2023, they celebrated with joy as Deacon Dave was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate for the Diocese of Belleville. It is a special gift for Michelle and Deacon Dave to share in each other’s call to serve the Lord – in their family, in their parish and community, with formation of those called to the Permanent Diaconate, and especially at Gibault!
