PAUL KIM:
After 1 year of planning, we are excited to welcome Paul Kim to Gibault TOMORROW! This is a big moment for Gibault as we kick off a year of 60th anniversary celebrations. All are invited to this event tomorrow evening. We very much hope to see EVERY ONE of you there. Houses have been preparing and each house has an important role as we welcome our community to Gibault. Some coaches are asking their team to wear their uniform. This is a great plan, Coaches. Students, if you are not wearing a team uniform, please come in your House shirt. You may wear your House shirt tomorrow to school as well.
This is such a big deal that 1 year ago, September 10th was cleared for all sporting events, so there will be no games or practices tomorrow.
Houses, Mrs. Wagner will be setting up throughout the day. Jump in to help when you are free. We will gather on the lawn by the gym by 4:40 for final set up. Food trucks start serving at 5:00 when our social begins. Doors to the gym open at 6:30. Paul’s presentations begins at 7:00.
Friday, we look forward to welcoming Paul Kim back to Gibault with a different message delivered to our students, staff, and faculty.
Hawks, Paul Kim will be at Mater Dei tomorrow. Let’s show him our Gibault spirit tomorrow night!
FALL PLAY:
Auditions for the fall play “Hamlet” are today after school in the auditorium. No experience necessary.
DRESS DOWN DAY:
Wear red, white, & blue and bring in a donation for the Patriot Project.
All students must wear appropriate clothing. See the dress code slideshow if you are not sure what you are allowed to wear. The bottom line is: you don’t have to like the dress coder. You don’t have to feel cute or fashionable when you follow the dress code. But you must follow it.
MCKENDREE VISIT:
Juniors & Seniors – if you would like to learn more about McKendree University, a McKendree counselor will be at Gibault Thursday, September 10 at 9:45. Get a pass from Mrs. Kovarik to attend. Meeting will be in the office.
