CAMPUS MINISTRY:

Well done to our Gibault students participating in the impactful Living Stations of the Cross yesterday evening at Saints Peter and Paul.  Your participation was reverent and powerful and a blessing for our community as we begin Holy Week.

If you would like to join the Campus Ministry Club for a hike and or movie this Holy Thursday morning, please pick up permission slips from Mrs. Miskell today.

HOUSE:

Rising House Leaders, Prefects, and Spiritual Ambassadors, please plan to meet in the Commons today during House.

SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITY:

The Lion’s Club is looking for volunteers for the Monster Truck and AutoCross event on March 9th.  Volunteers would need to report to the Monroe County Fairgrounds at 3pm and will be done by 9pm.  Please sign up in the office by May 1.

SUPERVISED STUDY:

Beginning today, Supervised Study will be in the study room outside Mrs. Kueker’s office for the remainder of the year.  If you are in supervised study, please report to Mrs. Kueker in the study room.  This room will be a no phone zone.  Other students are welcome to come into this space if desired, but the no phone zone will apply to all students in the room.

SENIORS:

You all are getting a form to fill out about scholarships in homeroom.  List every college scholarship offer you have gotten, even the colleges you are not going to.  See Mrs. Kovarik with questions.  These are due on Wednesday, April 1st.

BASEBALL:

The Varsity baseball team beat St. Pius X 9-4 on Saturday, getting excellent pitching from Dante Gianino and Dylan Schaefer. Kole Schilling and Dylan Schaefer each had big 2 out RBI hits. We play at Belleville West today. The JV team had a big comeback after giving up 6 runs in the top of the first to beat St. Pius X 12-9. Joey Alvarez earned the win out of the bullpen with 4+ innings pitched and Alex Loughary finished the game to get the save. Alex and Wyatt Bergmann each had 2 hits, Dante scored 4 runs, Bollone had 3 RBI and Grant Tucker had 2 RBI.

SOFTBALL:

The lady hawks softball team battled hard against Marissa on Saturday. Congratulations to Claire Kessler on her home run. Come out and watch them take on Okawville tomorrow night at 4:30.
