HOMECOMING TICKETS:
Don’t forget your homecoming ticket from Mrs. Kovarik. After next week, the price goes up from $15 to $20, so grab yours early! Dance guest forms are due October 7th.
HOMECOMING DANCE:
The Homecoming Dance is Friday, October 11th from 7 – 11pm.
SPIRIT WEEK:
Each day the students have a theme for their grade to follow for Spirit Week. Monday’s theme is Sports.
Freshmen: Soccer
Sophomore: Golf
Junior: Baseball
Senior: Basketball
Students who choose to not dress in theme, should wear their school uniform.
THE AMAZING RACE:
High school teens are invited to join us for the most daring competition ever attempted . Students will select a team member, bound by friendship, and faith and race around campus and downtown Waterloo. The Youth have no idea where they’re going, what challenges they will encounter or how the journey will affect their lives, but the team that reaches the finish line first wins. The race begins at 6pm behind the Ss. Peter & Paul’s Youth House (222 West Mill Street) on Sunday, October 6th. All are welcome!
SOCCER:
Congratulations to the Hawks Soccer Team on their win over Granite City last night with a score of 3-2! Michael Wessel scored 2 goals and Ryan Biffar had 1. Ryan Biffar came up with 2 assists and Michael Wessel had 1 assist.
TENNIS:
Although the Tennis Hawks lost to the Alton Redbirds 7-2 yesterday, Clara Willson and Myra Coats contributed to the Hawks’ two wins.
Clara won her Singles 1 match 8-6, improving her individual singles record to 4-3.
Doubles 1 partners, Clara and Myra, also won 8-6, improving their personal doubles record to 5-2.
Overall, the Hawks’ team record is 4-3.
